Acting President and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre attended the Teachers’ Day event organized by the Cyprus Turkish Educators Union (KIBTES).

Attending the event Acting President and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre congratulated all teachers who carry out this sacred duty that requires dedication.

According to a written statement released by the Assembly, the Acting President speaking during the event noted that the most important role in the development of individuals and therefore societies falls on teachers.

He also emphasized the importance of raising individuals who are beneficial to their people and nation on the path drawn by Atatürk.

Stating that generations who love their homeland and know their past well will be the guarantee of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Töre stated that it was not easy to come to these days and that the state and the republic can never be given up.
