The Meteorology Department has announced that rain is expected tomorrow and temperatures will drop by 8 degrees Celsius by Friday.

According to the weekly forecast report, the region’s low pressure system is cool and humid and on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the region will continue to be under the influence of the cold and humid air mass in the upper atmosphere.

The weather will be partly cloudy today and partly cloudy with scattered showers throughout the day tomorrow.

It will remain partly cloudy to cloudy until Monday.

The highest temperature will be around 22 to 25 degrees but is expected to drop between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

There will be southerly and westerly moderate winds becoming strong at times and gale force winds are expected on Wednesday.
