The Traditional Tepebaşı Tulip Festival, organized in cooperation with the Lapta-Alsancak-Camlıbel Municipality, the Tepebaşı Culture, Art and Nature Conservation Association and Tepebaşı Mukhtar’s Office, is taking place this weekend.

The head of the Tepebaşı Culture, Art and Nature Conservation Association Dağdoğan Sadrazam gave information about the festival to the BRT.

He stated that the festival, which started to be organized in 2004 in order to draw attention to the protection of the country’s endemic Tulipa Cypria, or locally known as Medoş tulips, which are under protection, will be held for the 16th time this year after a 4-year hiatus.

Stating that the festival, which will be held from March 16 – 17, will also include walking tours to the tulip meadow; Sadrazam invited all citizens to the Tepebaşı Tulip Festival.
