Tests reveal all beaches clean, suitable for bathing

The Deputy Prime Ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, stated that water samples taken from 30 beaches in Girne, Güzelyurt and Lefke on 2-3 July were analyzed and found to be within safe limits.

These beaches are deemed suitable for public use from a health perspective.

The announcement highlighted that the collection, evaluation, and sharing of water quality data with the public will continue.

An agreement was signed on 27 June between the Deputy Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, and the Ministry of Health to monitor seawater quality, including sample collection and analysis.

It was also noted that throughout July, seawater samples will be collected and analyzed from a total of 83 beaches across the country.
