The delegation of the National Defence Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly led by Hulusi Akar are holding talks in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus TRNC.

On Sunday the delegation paid a visit to the Maraş region.

Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre, together with the members of the Commission, paid a visit to Maraş and examined the area.

According to the statement made by the Republic’s Assembly, the Commander of the Security Forces Major General Osman Aytaç Chairperson of the Parliamentary Legal, Political Affairs and Foreign Relations Committee Yasemin Öztürk and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu also joined the delegation during their visit to Maraş.

The Chairman of the visiting delegation Hulusi Akar received information about the latest work in the region and chatted with the citizens who came to visit the area.

Making a statement during his visit to Maraş, Akar commemorated the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the TRNC and wished success to the soldiers serving in the region.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre for his part said that Cyprus is a national cause and that this cause is being carried out together with the Turkish Nation.

Expressing his pleasure for hosting the members of the National Defence Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in the TRNC, Töre stated that they are all united with the Turkish nation.
