The Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee Fuat Oktay met with members of the British Parliament.

Oktay received members of the British Parliament’s Türkiye and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus groups, member of the House of Lords Meral Ece and with members of parliament who visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Making a statement via social media, Oktay said that they made evaluations on Cyprus during the meeting.

He wrote “We emphasized our support for the TRNC’s efforts to have its inherent rights, namely their sovereign equality and equal international status recognised. We exchanged views on what can be done to break the isolation against the TRNC.”
