The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) hosted the 22nd ACE of M.I.C.E. (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) event for the third time this year.

The event brought together national and international giants of tourism, congress and meeting sectors.

Speaking at the press conference organized for the event, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu stated that the incentive system has been reintroduced as of January 1st by allocating a budget from their own resources for charter flights.

The ACE of M.I.C.E. event, organized by Dream Project, was realized in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus this year.

The event brought together national and international leaders in the tourism and congress sectors at Elexus Hotel & Convention Centre.

The event was held under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment.

Delivering a short speech at the event, Dream Project CEO Volkan Ataman emphasized the contribution of ACE of M.I.C.E. in promoting the brand value and destination of Türkiye and the TRNC.

Görkem Aydıner, the General Manager of Elexus Hotel and Convention Centre highlighted the importance of the MICE sector for TRNC’s tourism and economy.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu for his part emphasized that the TRNC is a safe tourism destination and announced that a study is being conducted to determine future investments in the tourism sector.

Ataoğlu also mentioned the completion of a law to control rental housing tourism and the reintroduction of the incentive system for charter flights starting from January 1.

He said the aim of reinstating the incentive system is to reach the targeted number of tourists next year.

Ataoğlu also provided information about the “ADA KIBRIS” project for Turkish Cypriots living in Türkiye and abroad.
