TİKA officials received by Tatar, Töre and Ertuğruloğlu

President Ersin Tatar once again emphasized the importance of enhancing relations with Türkiye.

During a meeting with officials from the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA), Tatar highlighted the significance of the Agency’s presence in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), emphasizing its valuable role.

Receiving the head of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency, Serkan Kayalar, and the TİKA’s Lefkoşa Office Coordinator, Havva Pınar Özcan, Tatar expressed that TİKA was a valuable and important organization for the TRNC and thanked the agency for its efforts in carrying out projects that share the history and culture of the TRNC, contributing to its productivity.

He underlined the importance of TİKA’s projects for the continuity of Turkish presence in Cyprus, the independent existence of the TRNC as a Turkish state in the Eastern Mediterranean, and ensuring a secure future for the next generation.

President Tatar also stressed the importance of strengthening ties with the Republic of Türkiye.

He pointed out that the presence of TİKA in the TRNC, as part of the 61 countries where it operates, is crucial, and emphasized that a stronger Türkiye means a stronger TRNC.

TİKA President Serkan Kayalar for his part provided information about the ongoing projects of the agency.

He explained that they were working on projects that would help increase the welfare of the Turkish Cypriot people.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre also received Kayalar on Thursday and the coordinator of TİKA’s Lefkoşa Office Havva Pınar Özcan.

During the meeting held in the parliament building, Speaker Töre highlighted the importance of Türkiye’s relationship with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and expressed gratitude to Türkiye.

He emphasized that nothing would be possible without the presence of the motherland.

Töre acknowledged the essential role of Türkiye in the region.

On Friday, the head of TİKA Serkan Kayalar was also received by Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu today.

The two exchanged views on the operations and activities of TİKA in the country.
