TMT Fighters Association issued a message upon hearing of the death of Halil Paşa, a former TMT commander and former president of the association.

The President of the Cyprus TMT Fighters Association Celal Bayar issued a message on Monday following news of the death of Halil Paşa, a former TMT commander and former president of the TMT Fighters’ Association.

Expressing his great sorrow over the death of Paşa, Bayar recalled the late commander’s great services.

He said that the intelligence reports prepared by Paşa had been very effective during the July 20, 1974 Peace Operation.

Bayar added that Paşa had also served as the Head of the Cyprus Turkish Security Forces Command (GKK) Intelligence Group after the 1974 Peace Operation.

In his message, Bayar also expressed his condolences to his family and loved ones.
