The Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT) visited the Turkish News Agency Cyprus TAK to mark the 51st anniversary of its establishment.
In the speeches made during the visit, the services provided by TAK to make the Turkish Cypriot voice heard were emphasized.
The President of the TMT Fighters Association Celal Bayar, General Secretary Yılmaz Hakverdi, members of the Board of Directors Gürdal Çuvalcıoğlu and Hüseyin Çakır visited TAK on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the establishment of TAK and met with Director Fehmi Gürdallı.
In his speech during the visit, Celal Bayar stated that the Turkish News Bureau was first established in parallel with the national struggle for existence, and then TAK started broadcasting on December 21, 1973.
Bayar emphasized that the services of Sait Terzioğlu, the founder of TAK, and Kemal Aşık, who served as the second director of the institution, to make the Turkish Cypriot voice heard cannot be forgotten.
TAK Director Gürdallı also noted that without the struggle for existence of the TMT, Turkish Cypriots would not have come to this day and stated that TAK is trying to explain this struggle to new generations.
During the visit, TMT Fighters Association President Celal Bayar presented TAK Director Fehmi Gürdallı with a plaque prepared on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Peace Operation and the Association’s calendar for 2025.
