Students from the Dr Fazıl Küçük Primary School paid a visit to the Republic’s Assembly on Friday as part of a school trip.

The Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre who met with the students highlighted the importance of preserving the state and the republic.

36 students and four teachers from the Dr Fazıl Küçük Primary School toured the parliament on Friday.

The students were briefed on the parliament, its structure and activities before being greeted by the Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre.Addressing the pupils, Töre highlighted the importance of preserving the state and the republic.

He said that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) established by the founding President Rauf Denktaş and the struggle waged by Dr Fazıl Küçük was a great privilege for the Turkish Cypriot people.
