Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre issued a message to mark the 85th anniversary of the passing of the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

In his message Töre said “the Commander-in-Chief of our struggle for independence, the great statesman, the Great Turkish Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, with his leadership and military genius in the national struggle, has taken his exceptional place in history by establishing a throne not only in the hearts of the Turkish Nation but also in the hearts of all nations living in captivity”.

He said that it will always be their primary duty to grow and develop the Republic, which Atatürk founded and entrusted to the people.

He said they would work hard to protect his efforts and to pass on these sacred values to the next generations and maintain their commitment to his principles forever.

“I commemorate Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, the Commander-in-Chief of the National Struggle and the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, who wrote his name in golden letters in the history of the world with his superior intelligence, broad horizons, principles and revolutions. He led the National Struggle to victory and crowned this victory with the Republic, with endless longing and gratitude on the 85th anniversary of his passing. May his beloved soul rest in peace” wrote Töre.
