The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre said there can be no stepping back from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and that they must keep the state alive.

Töre on Friday received the President of the Turkish Peace Forces Veterans Association Nusrettin Yuca and his accompanying delegation.

Speaking during the visit Töre said that the TRNC was established with the struggles waged by veterans and martyrs and that many struggles were made for this cause.

Stating that it is unacceptable for the imperialist powers of the world to see the Greek Cypriot side as an example, Töre said, “What is happening in Gaza today is obvious, there is only one truth for us and that is Motherland Türkiye”.

Emphasizing that they are the guardians of the homeland, the state and the flags, Töre said that the mujahid (Turkish Cypriot fighters) and Mehmetçik (Turkish fighters) fought shoulder to shoulder and will continue to walk together in the future.

The President of the Turkish Peace Forces Veterans Association, Nusrettin Yuca for his part said that they are the guardians of the flags all over in the TRNC and that if duty was to call, they would answer this call.
