The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre issued a written message for the Çınarlı Martyrs by reminding that the Turkish Cypriot people had suffered greatly, were displaced and martyred until the Turkish Peace Operation.

Commemorating the 8 martyrs who were martyred between 1956 and 1974 in Çınarlı with much respect and gratitude, Töre noted that if there is a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) state today, it is thanks to the martyrs and veterans.

Underlining that the struggles waged by the Turkish Cypriots should never be forgotten, Töre emphasized that they will work with all their strength for the development and progress of the TRNC in every field.

He stated that they will walk to the future together with Motherland Türkiye by protecting the past and national values.
