The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre came together with representatives from the International Federation Against Addiction and the International Universities Council on Wednesday.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the International Federation Against Addiction delegation headed by Erdal Karadağ. Speaking during the visit, Töre thanked the federation for its efforts against drug addiction.

Highlighting the importance of the federation’s duty and mission, Töre said helping young people free themselves from addictions or preventing them from becomings addicts was extremely important.

The President of the Federation Erdal Karadağ for his part noted that they were working to treat addicts registered with the Green Crescent and the Turkish Ministry of Health.

He said that they were working on opening representative offices in other countries.

Parliamentary Speaker Töre also came together with the International Universities Council delegation headed by Prof. Dr Orhan Hikmet Azizoğlu.

Speaking during the visit, Prof. Azizoğlu informed Töre about the work being carried out by the Council. Parliamentary Speaker Töre for his part, referred to the importance of dialogue between the universities.
