He urged the students to never give up learning new things in life, researching and acquiring knowledge.
Töre also said that it was gratifying to be able to tell those who had questioned the decision to set up a university in Güzelyurt that there were two successful universities in the area today.
“We have supported every investment made in Güzelyurt,” the parliamentary speaker added.
He said that the existence of two strong institutions of higher education in the area gave the strong message to everyone that Güzelyurt will never be given away as a territorial concession to Greek Cypriots in the event of a settlement.
Töre emphasized that the Gulf of Güzelyurt, from Yeşilırmak to Erenköy, was part of the Blue Homeland, and that no concessions could be made on this issue.
