The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre stated that they expect a ceasefire to be achieved as soon as possible in Gaza to end the genocide.

He said that they assume the ceasefire will be achieved under the leadership of Türkiye.

Töre made the statement while he received the visiting Deputy Governor of Eskişehir Salih Altun.

Speaking during the visit Töre stated that the Turkish Cypriot people are the true sons of the Turkish Nation and that they had waited 96 years to be able to embrace the Turkish nation and that this had become possible with the Peace Operation.

Referring to Israel’s attacks on Gaza, Parliamentary Speaker Töre said that now the meaning of the words by Türkiye President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that the world is bigger than five, is understood much more clearly today.

Noting that it is clear that the imperialist countries are great supporters of Israel, which continues with its persecution, Töre stated that some parties are keeping silent in the face of this genocide.
