The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre has said that the United Nations (UN) continues to repeat the mistakes it made in the past.

“The UN is biased and takes sides,” Töre stressed.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly, Zorlu Töre, touched upon the developments concerning the Pile-Yiğitler Road Project during a visit paid to him on Wednesday.

Töre stressed the significance of the Turkish nation as well as the importance of the TRNC state and its independence.

Pointing out that the road construction project was within the territory of the TRNC, he reminded that the purpose of the road construction was entirely humanitarian to facilitate easier access for TRNC citizens living in Pile.

Criticising the UN for being biased on the issue, Töre stressed that there will be no compromise on the road construction and warned that abandoning the project would result in compromising sovereignty.
