Acting President and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre stated that it is not possible to turn back from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and that they continue on their way together with Motherland Türkiye.

Acting President and Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre received the founder of the Justice and Development Party Political Academy and director of a private survey company Ercan Demirci on Monday.

Speaking during the visit, Töre said that they are the Turkish Nation together and their subject is the national cause.

Stating that Türkiye’s new century is of great importance for the Turkish Cypriot people, Töre emphasized that they are making efforts for the TRNC to be recognized and embraced by the world.

Referring to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s statement that “the world is bigger than five, recognize the TRNC and lift the embargoes”, Töre said that this was a guiding light for them.
