The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre emphasized that they will embrace the Blue Homeland and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with all they have.

Stating that the jurisdictions in the sea have come to an important point with the technological developments in the world, Töre said, “We will never give up our homeland in the seas, on land and in the skies or in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Zorlu Töre made evaluations regarding the Blue Homeland.

Stating that the Blue Homeland reinforces the struggle on land and in the air, Töre said that land, sky and sea elements are equivalent for them.

Emphasizing that with the technological developments in the world, the jurisdictions in the sea have gained importance, Töre noted that Türkiye has made agreements with both the TRNC and Libya on the continental shelf.

Noting that there are large natural gas reserves and natural gas resources in the Black Sea, Töre pointed out that over-sea and under-sea passageways are extremely important.

Reminding that the Greek Cypriot side has decided to build a sea port in the old Tatlısu village and that this is supported by the US and Europe, Töre said, “If we do not have power in the seas in this sense, our power on land and in the skies will be broken. Therefore, we will never give up on our homeland and the TRNC in the seas, on land or in the skies.”

Töre concluded his words by saying, “We fully embrace the Blue Homeland and the TRNC”.
