Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu sent a thank you message to Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu for the support he has given during the earthquake.

“Our solidarity and unity will increase our strength even more in this period when we are experiencing common pain” wrote Çavuşoğlu in his thank you letter.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu sent a message of condolence and a thank you letter to Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu for his rapid support during the earthquake.

The earthquake disaster affected 11 provinces in Türkiye causing tens of thousands of deaths among them Turkish Cypriot nationals.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu’s message is as follows: “During this time when we are experiencing common pain and sorrow our unity and solidarity will only further strengthen. The fact that our Turkish Cypriot brothers and sisters were among those we lost in the earthquake has further increased our sorrow. Your help during these harsh winter conditions has greatly contributed to our struggle. The desperate efforts of your search and rescue teams to save the lives under the rubble will never be forgotten.”

“May those who lost their lives rest in peace and I express my deepest condolences to their relatives and the Turkish Cypriot people. I also wish a speedy recovery to the injured” he said
