The 41st anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was celebrated in Azerbaijan.
Within this framework, a reception was organized in Baku hosted by Ambassador Ufuk Turganer, TRNC Representative in Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by Turkish and Azerbaijani ambassadors, MPs, representatives of Turkish institutions, businessmen, and other guests.
During the reception, Ambassador Ufuk Turganer highlighted the determination of the Turkish Cypriots to maintain their sovereignty and independence despite the unjust embargo imposed on them.
She emphasized the strengthening unity between the TRNC and Azerbaijan, noting the support shown by Azerbaijan’s invitation to the TRNC President to the Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States.
Turganer also stressed the increasing geopolitical role of the TRNC in the Eastern Mediterranean and the importance of the TRNC as a key to peace and stability.
Chairman of the Azerbaijan-TRNC Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, Javanshir Feyziyev, expressed concern over the uncertain situation faced by Turkish Cypriots and urged for moral and political support from all Turkic peoples.
He called for deeper cooperation between Azerbaijan and the TRNC in business, education, tourism, and culture.
