Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair held in Berlin, Germany.

Speaking during the meeting, Ataoğlu said that they were working continuously for the development of the tourism market.

Pointing out that they were in good cooperation with Minister Ersoy, Ataoğlu said that they had shot another promotional film with the support of Türkiye this year and that these films were broadcast on television channels and websites in Türkiye, Russia, Germany and England.

Explaining that the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, which is affiliated to the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, also supported the promotion and marketing activities so that the North Cyprus destination can receive more demand, he said that the TRNC economy always needs the tourism sector, therefore they will continue to work uninterruptedly for this market to grow and develop.

Stating that many agencies and tour operators from North Cyprus and agencies operating in the German and Turkish markets had come together, Ataoğlu noted that the tourism stakeholders of the two countries should always be together.

He also added that there was a demand above the expected at the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair, which was held face-to-face for the first time in 3 years.
