TRNC Azerbaijan relations developing

Deputy Leader of the New Azerbaijan Party, Tahir Bugadov is in Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as part of a working visit.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, in his statement regarding the matter, noted that the relations between the TRNC and Azerbaijan are rapidly developing.

“We are determined not to leave the phrase ‘One nation, three states’ just as words; we are committed to developing our relations based on mutual love, brotherhood, and trust,” Üstel said.

The Deputy Leader of the New Azerbaijan Party, Tahir Budagov, along with MP Ramil Hassan and a group of Azerbaijani investors, are holding contacts in the TRNC.

Tahir Budagov and his delegation were welcomed by the Secretary-General of the National Unity Party Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, the Undersecretary of the Prime Ministry Hüseyin Cahitoğlu, and the Head of the Prime Ministry’s Private Office İlgen Bağcıer.

Following discussions held last week in Azerbaijan with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Tahir Budagov and his delegation, in Cyprus for a one-day working visit to review the topics discussed and to see the investment opportunities firsthand, will proceed to Antalya to attend the Diplomacy Forum with the delegation from the TRNC.

As part of its contacts, the Azerbaijani delegation will meet with businesspeople from the TRNC to gather detailed information, particularly about investment opportunities in education, tourism, agriculture, and construction sectors.

In a brief statement, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel mentioned that, relations between the TRNC and Azerbaijan have shown significant and rapid progress following the membership of the TRNC to the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the cooperation protocol signed last year between the New Azerbaijan Party and the National Unity Party.

He added that the meetings will review the progress made in relations and will bring Azerbaijani investor businessmen together with local businessmen.

Üstel also stated that there are significant investment opportunities in education, tourism, agriculture, and construction sectors.
