The Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Food Engineers affiliated with the Union of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Engineers and Architects and five municipalities that are members of the Cittaslow TRNC network signed a protocol on food safety.
The Cittaslow North Cyprus National Network Coordinator Mustafa Zurnacılar gave information about the protocol which was signed at the headquarters of the Cyprus Turkish Municipalities Union.
“This protocol will be beneficial in obtaining food safety, training producers and carrying out inspections of produce. It is a protocol which needs to be implemented all across the country. I am hoping that other stakeholders will be carrying out similar work in the period ahead,” he said.
Stating that they have been working with sister Cittaslow Municipalities for years, Zurnacılar said that they will hold a joint event with the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality on May 13, 2022.
Zurnacılar also said that Turkish Cypriot products will be on display and promoted at the event.
