The Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent Society attended the 34th International Red Cross and Red Crescent Conference and the Council of Delegates in Geneva, Switzerland, strengthening its commitment to global humanitarian efforts.
As an observer member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies—the world’s largest humanitarian network—the Cyprus Turkish Red Crescent focused on enhancing global solidarity and its aid capacity.
Led by Sezai Sezen, the delegation engaged in bilateral and group meetings with international counterparts to expand cooperation.
During the conference, Sezen met with leaders and representatives from the Red Crescent and Red Cross societies of Türkiye, Pakistan, Guinea, Algeria, Nigeria, Chad, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Iraq, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Russia.
The discussions aimed to bolster partnerships in humanitarian aid, disaster management, and capacity building.
These meetings underscore the TRNC Red Crescent’s dedication to collaborating on shared humanitarian objectives across borders.
