Construction vehicles and various aid have been sent from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to be used in the search and rescue efforts initiated after the earthquake in Türkiye.

Some mayors, representing the Cyprus Turkish Municipalities Union, also moved to the earthquake zone with the construction vehicles and aid collected.

Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, who was at the Gazimağusa Port inspecting the latest situation on the spot, announced that the materials to be sent will be delivered to AFAD officials at the Port of İskenderun.

The Premier added that that as the government they were ready to do whatever is necessary if there is need.

Construction vehicles and equipment that are being sent to the disaster area are as follows: “5 cranes, 6 excavators, 1 backhoe loader, 2 fuel tankers, 6 telescopes, 9 lorries, 10 buckets, 6 trucks, 3 trailers, one of which is closed, 40 bunk beds, 1 road service, 1 generator and 1 supply vehicle and 6 off-road vehicles.”
