TRNC takes its place at ITB Berlin 2024

The Deputy Prime Ministry and Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment issued a statement on Tuesday regarding the ITB Berlin Tourism Fair.

The ministry said that they aimed to promote North Cyprus’ tourism opportunities and to attract higher quality tourists to the country.

It pointed out that the ITB Berlin Fair was the largest international tourism and trade fair held in Germany which brought together exhibitors and visitors in the tourism and travel sectors and that attendance at the fair aimed to promote the tourist opportunities of North Cyprus, to further strengthen relations with the world tourism sector and to attract higher quality tourists from around the world.

Authorized associations of the sectors, agencies, hotels, guides, health tourism representatives, restaurateurs and other interested parties all visited the TRNC stand at the fair.

The TRNC tourism ministry said that their attendance at ITB Berlin was also aimed at seeking ways of overcoming obstacles on the path to developing North Cyprus’ tourism.

Noting that the tourism sector for North Cyprus was in the process of recovery and was moving in a positive direction, the statement said “We expect to increase the number of tourists and tourism revenues by the end of 2024 to return to pre-pandemic figures.”
