The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is taking part in the Travelexpo Ankara International Tourism and Travel Fair, one of Türkiye’s most important travel and tourism expos taking place at the ATO Congresium.

The 6th international tourism expo is organised by Atis Fuarcılık with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.

A delegation consisting of sector representatives and headed by the Undersecretary of the Deputy Prime Ministry, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Serhan Aktunç is representing the TRNC at the fair in order to create new connections and to increase tourism revenues in 2024.

Representatives of the Cyprus Turkish Tourism and Travel Agency Union KITSAB, Cyprus Turkish Guides Union KITREB, Cyprus Turkish Restaurateurs Union RESBIR  and the North Cyprus Hoteliers Association (KİTOB) are present at the expo which will end on Saturday.

The TRNC stand attracted great interest on the first day of the expo.

Turkiye’s Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Türkiye’s Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Nadir Alpaslan visited the TRNC stand and met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Serhan Aktunç and the accompanying TRNC delegation.
