Fortunately, there were no major incidents except for minor traffic accidents that occurred during the New Year.

In the New Year’s special draw of the national lottery, the grand prize of ₺5m million was won by ticket number 103716.

Occupancy rates at hotels which offered special entertainment programs during the New Year holiday reached 78%.

Municipalities throughout the country also organized events for New Year’s Eve.

However, despite all warnings and precautions in the New Year, there were 9 traffic accidents in which a total of five people were injured.

During traffic checks conducted by police nationwide, 52 drivers were reported, including 31 for speeding above the legal limit and eight for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, seven vehicles were impounded.
