Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who made his first overseas visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus after being re-elected as President, was in Azerbaijan on Tuesday.

During his visit to Azerbaijan the Turkish President gave an important message about the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke to CNN TÜRK prior to his meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.

Upon being asked a question regarding his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and whether he is giving a message regarding the recognition of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Turkish President replied “your evaluation is correct”.
