Turkic World Marketing, Advertising and Media Association has been established.
Spearheaded by Türkiye and Azerbaijan, the newly formed union will be represented by Türkiye for the first two years.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is also set to assume the spokesperson role in the coming years.
Launched under the leadership of Türkiye and Azerbaijan and operating under the auspices of Türkiye’s Ministry of Trade, the establishment of the Turkic World Marketing, Advertising and Media Association (TÜREK) was formalized with a signing ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Türkiye’s Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, emphasized that the Organization of Turkic States is no longer just a cultural alliance but has evolved into a strategic partnership spanning sectors such as economy, energy, industry, agriculture, tourism and technology.
Bolat noted that TÜREK will foster significant cooperation in the advertising sector.
He announced that the union’s headquarters will be based in Istanbul, with Türkiye serving as spokesperson for the first two years.
In the following years, Azerbaijan will take over the spokesperson role, followed by the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
Şahin Acar, President of the Outdoor and Industrial Advertisers Association, stated that the founding step was taken by Azerbaijan and Türkiye, adding, “Today, the TRNC has joined us. We won’t stop here—our goal is to walk together under this roof with all Turkic communities, from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, and from Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan.”
