Turkish FM Fidan calls for removal of isolations

“We must all stand together against the unjust and inhumane isolation imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people,” Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said on Thursday.

Fidan was speaking at the Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting held before the 10th Summit of the Organisation of Turkic States(OTS) in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana.

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that cooperation within the Turkic world was increasingly institutionalized and deepening.

According to diplomatic sources, Fidan called for support for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) by saying, “We must all stand together against the unjust and inhumane isolation imposed on the Turkish Cypriot people.”

Regarding recent developments in Karabakh, Fidan stated, “Türkiye will continue to stand by Azerbaijan,” and he also drew attention to the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza.

Fidan highlighted the significant potential for cooperation among member countries, particularly in the areas of trade, economy, energy, and transportation.
