The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler received the delegation of the Confederation of Civil Servants’ Unions of Türkiye, whom are in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and are carrying out a variety of visits.

During the visit Öztürkler emphasized the importance of cooperation between trade unions and said, “The cooperation between our motherland, the Republic of Türkiye and the TRNC has always added strength to us.”

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler received the delegation of the Confederation of Civil Servant Unions of Türkiye, Memur-Sen.

Speaking during the visit the President of Memur-Sen and Eğitim Bir-Sen Ali Yalçın said that they came to the TRNC to carry out a variety of contacts.

The Speaker of the Republic’s Assembly Ziya Öztürkler for his part stated that trade unions should be active in order for employees to work in a better environment and to defend their personal rights.

Öztürkler pointed to the importance of trade union activities and stated that one of the most important features of trade unions is to protect their country and defend the rights of their employees.

Noting that trade unions are indispensable elements of democratic societies and play an important role in protecting and improving the rights of public employees, Öztürkler emphasized that inter-union cooperation is part of the efforts to defend and improve the rights of public employees.
