The Turkish Ministry of National Defence stressed that necessary measures have been taken against any threats that could target the security of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

In a press briefing, the Ministry stated, “Ongoing activities in South Cyprus are being closely monitored, and all necessary measures are being taken against any threats to the security of the TRNC.”

“Recent increased activity in Cyprus and the ongoing activities of the so called ‘Republic of Cyprus’ are being closely monitored, and necessary measures are being taken against any threats to the security of the TRNC. Regardless of who is deploying forces, we are closely following all developments. At present, there are no issues or negative situations concerning the security of the TRNC,” a statement issued at the end of the meeting read.
