Mahmut Özer, Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TGNA) Committee on National Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports and a delegation, will arrive in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) today for official talks.

Özer and his delegation will participate in a joint working meeting between the TGNA Committee on National Education, Culture, Youth, and Sports and the TRNC’s Administrative, Public, and Health Affairs Committee of the Republic Assembly.

The three-day visit will include various meetings and visits.

During their stay, the delegation was received by President Ersin Tatar, Speaker of the Assembly Zorlu Töre, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, and Minister of National Education Nazım Çavuşoğlu.

The delegation’s itinerary also includes visits to several significant locations in the TRNC, such as the Turkish Maarif Foundation – Samtay Foundation Suna Ata Atun Primary School in Gazimağusa, Eastern Mediterranean University, and the fenced–off area of Maraş.

This visit underscores the strong educational and cultural ties between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and aims to further enhance cooperation in these fields.
