Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to take the oath on Saturday

The final results of the second round of the presidential election in Türkiye have been announced.

The Chairman of the Turkish Supreme Election Council Ahmet Yener, announced that the official results of the second round of the presidential election, held on May 28, have been sent to the Official Gazette for publication.

According to the final results, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, received 52.18% of the votes, while the Chairman of the Republican People’s Party Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, received 47.82% of the votes.

Meanwhile, the President of the Supreme Election Council, Ahmet Yener, presented the official certificate of election of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, Mustafa Sentop.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the 13th President of the Republic of Türkiye, will take the oath in the Turkish Grand National Assembly on Saturday.

President Ersin Tatar, the Speaker of Parliament Zorlu Töre and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel will be attending the oath-taking ceremony and reception in Ankara on Saturday.

Former President Derviş Eroğlu also received an invitation from President Erdoğan and will attend the oath-taking ceremony and reception in Ankara after a phone call conversation.

After President Erdoğan announces his cabinet, the new ministers will take the oath in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly one day later.

In the meantime, the 28th Term members of the Parliament will begin their term with the oath-taking ceremony in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

In the first session, led by the Chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli, the members of parliament will take the oath one by one.

President Erdoğan will also attend the opening of the Parliament.
