Turkish VP Yılmaz visits Güvercinlik and Vadili

Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, visited the villages of Güvercinlik and Vadili on Thursday as part of his official contacts on the island.

He came together with local residents of Güvercinlik and Vadili on Thursday as part of his one-day visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Accompanying Yılmaz during the visit was Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre, the Turkish Ambassador to Lefkoşa Metin Feyzioğlu, cabinet members and MPs.

Speaking during the visits, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel expressed gratitude to Yılmaz for his support and visit.

Remembering those who lost their lives in the devastating earthquakes on February 6, Üstel emphasized that the government will always stand united with Türkiye.

Üstel explained that they are working within the framework of protocols with Türkiye to prevent young people from emigrating to other areas or countries.

Discussing rural land and social housing projects, Üstel mentioned that they have prepared new loan packages to help young people and families without property to purchase homes.

The prime minister also said that their intention was to develop both agriculture and industry in this region.

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz for his part said that he had productive contacts during his visit to the TRNC and expressed Ankara’s commitment to support the TRNC government in every field for the development of the country.

He mentioned their support for agriculture in the region and outlined plans to advance it further in terms of industrialization, making a significant leap in the industrial sector.
