The Turkish Health Tourism Development Council and the Cyprus Health Tourism Council signed a protocol leading the way for cooperation between the two countries.
According to the “Health Tourism Cooperation Protocol” studies will be carried out to draw new health tourism investments to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
According to the written statement made by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, the protocol was signed in Istanbul by the Chairman of the Executive Board of the Turkish Health Tourism Development Council Köksal Holoğlu and the head of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, who also holds the Term Presidency of the World Health Tourism Council, MP Ahmet Savaşan.
The protocol foresees the mutual development of cooperation in the field of health tourism, especially in physiotherapy, aesthetics, IVF, cardiology and wellness between Türkiye and the TRNC and studies to be carried out in order to attract new health tourism investments to the TRNC.
Making a statement after the signing ceremony the head of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council Ahmet Savaşan stated that the protocol will significantly contribute to reaching their target of a 50 per cent increase in health tourism revenues.
