
Spokesperson for the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Öncü Keçeli, denied the allegations that Turkish ports would be opened to ships from the Greek Cypriot Administration.
“The claims in the Greek press suggesting that our country’s ports will be opened to Greek Cypriot vessels in exchange for EU visa facilitation for our businesspeople are purely fictional” Keçeli said.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli rejected the claims that Turkish ports would be opened to Greek Cypriot ships “in exchange for EU visa facilitation for Turkish businesspeople.”
In a statement posted on his X (formerly Twitter) social media account, Spokesperson Keçeli said, “The claims in the Greek press suggesting that our country’s ports will be opened to Greek Cypriot vessels in exchange for EU visa facilitation for our businesspeople are a product of imagination.”
