The 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was celebrated with enthusiasm in Türkiye.

Receptions and events were organized in various provinces, especially in the capital Ankara and Istanbul.

TRNC Ambassador to Ankara İsmet Korukoğlu and his accompanying delegation visited Anıtkabir, the Mausoleum of the Great Turkish leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

The TRNC Embassy in Ankara also organized a reception to celebrate Republic Day.

A reception organized by the Consulate General was held in the ballroom of the Conrad Hotel in Istanbul.

Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu also attended the reception.

Receptions and events were also organized in Izmir, Mersin, Antalya and Trabzon in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the TRNC.
