Members of the board of directors from Türkiye’s Kamu-Sen, who attended the opening ceremony of the busts at parliament, paid visits to state and government officials.

In line with their visits they were received by President Ersin Tatar and the Parliamentary Speaker Zorlu Töre separately.

President Ersin Tatar received the members of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Public Employees Unions of Türkiye Kamu-Sen, who attended the opening ceremony of the busts at the Republic’s Assembly.

Speaking during the visit President Ersin Tatar stated that they were continuing with their struggle for the benefit of the Turkish Cypriot people and for the strengthening of the national cause, and added that according to the new policy carried out with the support of Türkiye, if there is to be a solution in Cyprus, it must be based on two states.

“A Turkish state must live forever in the north of Cyprus,” said Tatar and underlined that Türkiye’s guarantor and the presence of Turkish soldiers are of vital importance for the Turkish Cypriots.

Speaking during the visit paid to him the parliamentary speaker Zorlu Töre pointed to the importance of the leaders.

He said if it wasn’t for the leaders, the people would not have been able to unite and mobilize therefore the leaders, Atatürk, Dr. Fazıl Küçük and Rauf Raif Denktaş should be immortalized.

The visiting delegation for their part expressed their full support to the Turkish Cypriot people.
