Türkiye-TRNC sign two agreements

The Republic of Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) have signed two agreements related to consular services and combating irregular migration.

The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced the signing of these agreements through his Twitter account.

The first of the two agreements signed between the two countries is about providing consular services to the citizens of the TRNC.

This agreement aims to facilitate consular assistance and support for TRNC citizens in Türkiye.

The second agreement is related to the establishment of the TRNC Irregular Migration Centre, and it outlines the support that will be provided by the Republic of Türkiye during the process of setting up the centre to combat irregular migration.

The agreements were signed during a meeting between Turkish President Erdoğan and TRNC President Ersin Tatar.

The two agreements are expected to enhance cooperation between Türkiye and the TRNC in the specified areas.
