The killing of innocent civilians, predominantly children and women, in disregard of international law and the most fundamental human values, is the point where all of humanity ends, said Türkiye’s Defence Ministry spokesperson Zeki Aktürk.

In the weekly press briefing of the Ministry, it was pointed out that the Turkish Armed Forces continue to protect the rights and interests of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with determination.

During a weekly press briefing on Thursday, the ministry spokesperson Zeki Aktürk emphasised the importance of an immediate cessation of the conflicts between Israel and Palestine for the sake of regional and global peace.

“It is imperative to halt the attacks on civilians in Gaza and take mutually constructive steps for a lasting solution,” he said.

Aktürk also strongly condemned the Israeli air strike on the Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza where nearly 500 people were killed on Tuesday.

Israel has denied responsibility for the attack.

Meanwhile, sources from the Ministry of National Defence also stated that in regards to the activities of the Turkish Armed Forces in the Eastern Mediterranean the planned training and exercises of the Turkish Armed Forces will continue with determination.

“The Turkish Armed Forces continue to protect the rights and interests of Türkiye and the TRNC with perseverance and determination. In this context, our Naval Forces continue their reconnaissance, surveillance, training and exercise activities in the Eastern Mediterranean with a sufficient number of ships” said the source.
