Türkiye’s Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) is in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to pay an official working visit to the Supreme Board of Broadcasting (YYK) following the election of the new presidency.

According to the statement made by the Supreme Board of Broadcasting, the meeting to be held between the Board of Directors of the Radio and Television Supreme Council and the Supreme Board of Broadcasting, which is taking place following the re-election of Ebubekir Şahin as the Chairman of the Radio and Television Supreme Council, is of “great importance” in terms of strengthening the long-standing cooperation and deciding on the joint projects for the new period.

Within the scope of the visit of Radio and Television Supreme Council to the TRNC, it is envisaged that RTÜK will also pay official visits to state and government officials.

During these visits, they will exchange views regarding the activities carried out by both boards in the international arena.

Meanwhile, since the dates of the visit of the Council coincide with Martyrs’ Week, the President of the Council is expected to participate in the commemoration activities and the guest delegation is expected to visit the martyrs’ cemeteries.

RTÜK President Şahin, who will pay a courtesy visit to Bayrak Radio Television Corporation (BRTK) on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the establishment of BRTK and will make a presentation at a symposium organized by the BRT on Friday in Girne.
