Tweak to testing rules at crossings

The UN Secretary-General’s Good Offices Mission in Cyprus has announced some tweaks to vaccination and testing status at the crossing points.

In a statement on Thursday, the mission said that, based on the January 19 assessment of the bicommunal Technical Committee on Health, the situation is determined to remain at Level 3 (dark red), with the following adjusted measures applied at all crossings points as of Monday, January 24 (9am):

Individuals, who have not received a booster shot against Covid-19, will be required to present a negative rapid test at border crossings.

Children between 5 and 11 years old, unvaccinated high-school students and persons residing in Kato Pyrgos and unvaccinated students will be required to present a 7 day negative PCR or rapid test when crossing between the two sides of the island.
