It was reported on Monday that two of three individuals sought in relation to the incident involving the attack on Asya Karaali have been identified and arrested by Greek Cypriot police.
They appeared before a court in South Cyprus and remanded in police custody for four days.
The three are expected to appear in court again on Friday.
Meanwhile, the Greek Cypriot leader Nikos Christodoulides called President Ersin Tatar regarding the incident in Ayia Napa.
According to the news reported by the Greek Cypriot press, it was stated that Christodoulides condemned the incident and explained to Tatar that the individuals who assaulted the young girl have been arrested and will be handed over to justice.
It was also reported that the Greek Cypriot leader told the president that the incident was not a racially motivated attack but that it was still unacceptable and condemnable.
