Specially produced vaccines for the 5-11 age groups have arrived in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
With the support of the EU, two thousand Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines have arrived in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus following intensive efforts carried out by the Presidency and the Technical Committee on Health between the two sides on the island.
Presidential Co-Chairman of the Technical Committee on Health Cenk Soydan received the vaccinations on Wednesday.
In a statement by the Presidency it said that in order for uniterrupted education to continue and for the protection of the children against the virus, the Health Ministry has completed its preparations in obtaining the supplies of the special vaccines and will share this with the public soon.
The statement added that they are continuing to work tirelessly in order to ensure that the supply of the special vaccine for children continues.
