The General Secretary of the National Unity Party (UBP), Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu has said that the pain left by the loss of the late Salih Miroğlu, former General Secretary and minister of the UBP, is still being felt deeply despite the 18 years that have passed since his death.
Hasipoğlu issued a message on Wednesday on the 18th anniversary of the death of the late UBP politician.
In a message issued on Wednesday, UBP General Secretary Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu said that they still feel the pain of the death of Salih Miroğlu, one of the iconic figures of the UBP, even after 18 years.
He said that the loss of Miroğlu, who had strong social relationships throughout his political career, medical profession, and sports management, and had gained the love and sincerity of all segments, is irreparable, even after many years.
Acknowledging the significant contributions of the late politician to the UBP, Hasipoğlu expressed that if Miroğlu were alive today, there would be no doubt that he would contribute a lot to the country.
He noted that Miroğlu left valuable traces both in the Parliament, in ministerial duties, and within the UBP.
Meanwhile, messages for Miroğlu and Özgür was issued by other state and government officials.
