The leader of the National Unity Party (UBP) and Prime Minister, Ünal Üstel, led a delegation from the UBP on Wednesday to pay their respects on the 48th anniversary of the party’s establishment.

To mark their establishment anniversary, the UBP leader and Prime Minister, Ünal Üstel, UBP Secretary-General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Lefkoşa District Chairman Ahmet Savaşan, and members of the UBP Central Executive Board paid their respects by laying wreaths at the Atatürk Monument in Lefkoşa, the Tomb of the leader of the Turkish Cypriot Struggle for Freedom and Existence Dr Fazıl Küçük, and the mausoleum of the Founding President Rauf Denktaş.

Meanwhile, the UBP’s planned establishment reception, which was supposed to take place on Wednesday evening, was postponed to a later date due to the escalation of violence in the Israel-Hamas conflict and the resulting loss of life.
